I've had a bad day today what with the triffid and now this. SWMBO says it looks an alien mated with dog poo. It measures 5" x 4.5" with a textured back surface to the glass and all four edges are frosted. I thought it had the look of Higgins style, but I'm open to all comments.
Please remember I've owned up in the past to having dubious taste in glass.

ummmm???
-
Slump lump :?:
Or perhaps someone did a course in glass casting.
-
 I'm inclined to agree with SWMBO
-
I'm looking at this bug-eyed - I think it could be Andreas Meyer at Nahariya Glass, Israel who made some shockingly bad slump designs over the years. Does it have a little metal hook at the back to hang it from?
-
Shouldn't that be screw-head-eyed Ivo.
-
More likely to have been marver cast than slumped, looking at the edges, which were probably frosted to get rid of the angle-iron marks (guess) with the copper pressed in. :D
Not that I have that much experience of that sort of stuff and even if I did, would deny it!
-
I've never seen anything like it!
-
No hanging hook to the back, it's so bizarre that I do find it interesting.

Paul....I can't add anything about attribution, but honestly, I find it scary! It looks like some archaic effigy, or icon. I wouldn't put it in the bedroom...might open its eyes and be glaring at you....
Oh!!! Maybe it's some kind of sign - it's an eagle owl!
-
I was just going to say it looks like an owl.... weird, but thats why I like it! :D
-

I might be tempted to use it as a coaster for very hot things.
Or tiling for a urinal.
:D I have a bit of a problem with slumped glass. Why is it always that really green sort of clear glass that is used? The sort of green that screams "utility, double-glazed windows" and precludes me seeing it as art?
-
Or tiling for a urinal.

Often ordinary window glass is used as the cheapest resource.
-
 I like it too Paul! It has that kind of sludgy 60's look about it and it does look like an owl - another very 60's design theme - it'd sit great in my e-shop (what does that say about my stock?) LOL
-
Sorry Paul,
but I think it's horrid!
I loved the triffid, but this specimen is truly grotesque.
Wouldn't suffer it in my house!
