Title: Glass Dessert Dishes - ID = Hortensja, Poland
Post by: iggykatz on December 03, 2017, 12:35:56 AM
Hi,

I got 12 of these beautiful glass dishes in an estate sale auction and know nothing about them.  Based on the quality of the other items from the estate, I'm sure these must be a known pattern somewhere!  I'd appreciate any help.  Pictures attached

They measure 5 1/4" top to bottom and across the bowl is 5"

Hello and welcome to GMB!

This pressed pattern was made by Polish company Hortensja - seen first in their 1937 catalogue, however the stem of yours is less ornate. Please see page 4/50 in the link below.

Given that you've got even twelve of these, I believe they could be of their 1970ies production - please scroll down to  page 42 of Pressglas-Korrespondenz 2013-4  (https://www.pressglas-korrespondenz.de/archiv/pdf/pk-2013-4w-01-mb-hortensja-1970-pressglas.pdf)

Thank you so very much.  I never would have found that on my own.  I appreciate your expertise and the welcome!
