Hi just joined, I inherited 6 glasses I was told they are old and possible originated in Austria or Germany
145mm tall girth 73mm 67mm rim and base diameter rim thickness 3mm - 6mm thick base 10mm thick 350g
they are chunky some air bubbles in base the top of the rim is polished with a slight bevel inside and out no marks.
can anyone identify.

Hi - welcome to the GMB :) Would agree with most of what you say - possibly what might be more accurately described as Bohemian - very prolific glass makers apparently, but doubtful that you could ever pin down an exact area of central Europe, and regret you certainly won't find the maker. You may well be correct though with Germany.
The type of rim that you've described is typical of Continental drinking glasses, unlike British made glasses that almost always have a fire polished and smooth rim. This heavy faceting/cutting and multiple sided feet is also typical of the Continental areas mentioned.
Old means different things to different people - your glasses may be from anywhere in the second half of the C19 - we have people here who collect such pieces and hopefully will be able to give you a more accurate idea as to age. :)

Hi - really, there's no need to apologise - you should see the list of words used here, inappropriately - it's rather long, and most of us are very guilty at some time or another ;D
Your glasses certainly have some considerable age, compared to modern related items intended for similar use - drinking glasses/tumblers have been an essential part of life everywhere for a long time, and there are recognizable shapes, designs and patterns that allow us to define their approximate age and general area of origin. Although your set are plain in appearance, similar shapes with this heavy chunky form, cutting and lobed/scalloped feet were a common type of glass pattern from central Europe, and were prolific in the C18 and C19 - the better ones were gilded and enamelled and those are worth a lot of shekels. Fashion is a great dictator of how things look - regret though I've no idea for how long this particular design continued - but you're fortunate to have a set - are your glasses a family heirloom of sorts?
Still hopeful that someone with much better knowledge will provide us with a more accurate guide to the age of your glasses. :)
