Title: Hospodka oil lamp? - ID = Chribska
Post by: GoaTom on January 06, 2018, 04:42:27 PM
Hi.
I bought this oil lamp from a local antique store. Cost me 12£. There were also a vase in display together with it witch i later bought. I have found out that the vase is Josef Hospodka design
and the oil lamp got the same collor pattern. I just never seen an oil lamp from Hospodka before. Is this a rare item?

Welcome to the forum.

Definitely Chribska but no idea if designed by Hospodka or not, here it is in their 1999 catalogue: Click for link (https://photos.google.com/share/AF1QipONGkQLe9DnJL34UwvdfveakMTrNyosrnPZDGas6GASPxb8XUR97daj7M34vcK_rg/photo/AF1QipPIq55Y6-pAUUlagNb9SxresmBt5dXdzdxzZj18?key=NFdPOUVmM2ktUlU0b2NEZUZEVjJIWmVsVm1uTVVR)

Looks like intended use was as a vase, maybe the oil burner a later addition.
