Hi, I would like to hear your opinions on this vase. It is obviously Murano, and I have often seen similar ones identified as Salviati, late 19th c. But is it that what it is? Size is 21 cm, and it has a snapped pontil mark. Thank you very much in advance!

My vote would be a "yes" to Salviati. :)
But you'd be better off waiting for somebody who knows more than I do, to confirm. ;D

Thank you Sue!

You're encouraging me. Not always wise!
The eyes look right, the gold leaf looks right, the delicate, complicated, modelling looks right, the colours look right... ;D

Thank you again, yes, the more I look around for Salviati pieces, the more I believe it to be right, too. Could be Barovier, too, from the same period...

I hope Glassobsessed will comment. He knows much more than I do about this sort of thing. :-[

Something about this one gives me the impression it is late 20C rather than late 19C but judging from photos only is problematic. If there are no specks of ash in the clear sections then it will probably have been made in the last 60 years or so.
This red candlestick looks later to me, in stark contrast to the opalescent pitcher and ice bowl with serpent stem.

Thank you glassobsessed, I will check if there are any specks of ash!
