Hi All,
Nice sculptural Skrdlovice vase which also glows nicely under UV.
Has a very faint yellow and silver paper label. Looking at Robert's and Jindrich's book I see this label was largely used between 1955-68.
Proving a little tricky to pin point a pattern number, scanning through the catalogue drawings. Pattern number 5995 in the 1959 cat looks closest thus far. Would some kind folk please confirm if this is indeed pattern 5995? :)
Many thanks,
Greg

I'm sorry I can't help with your query, but I have to say that is one of the most stunning and beautiful pieces of Skrodlovice I've seen - and it glows too, you can't ask for more.
There's a bit of a Sam Herman-y shape to it overall, 8) I can see its appeal to you, Greg - and me! ;D

Thanks Sue :)
The vase has a lovely organic feel to it, the fact it glows was a nice unexpected bonus.

Definitely a correct attribution there Greg. A nice piece too, I have not seen many of those. Fifties Skrdlovice is a joy to collect, there are so many varied patterns and the factory family of Beraneks seemed to be enjoying the challenge of producing the handmade shapes and colours to a high standard of production, each piece feels like quality glass....

:-\ I need one for myself.
I only just found myself the Hlava you showed Greg, that had me lusting for years.
Now you've gone and done it to me again. ::)
Dumped me in the purgatory of unrequited lust. :P

Sorry Sue ;)
Grateful thanks for confirming the pattern Robert. Some of those pattern book drawings sure are tricky trying to decipher!
