I saw brucebanner's interesting post showing to halves of paperweights that had been made into bookends. This reminded me that I have to halves of paperweights so I am enclosing pictures of these as it is interesting to see the side views showing how paperweights are made and the depth of the coloured base and dome.
The first weight is a Perthshire spoked and the second is a lampwork flower from late American artist Ray Banford.
