am i correct in thinking this weight is Murano?

thanks Allan, its been suggested it is  Ferro and Lazzarini but I couldn't find one with the pontil mark showing like this one all had polished smooth bases

For what it is worth your weight reminded me of this one.

The canes in yours that are two rows out from the middle which are red in the centre then white/green/white match canes in a Fratelli Toso vase dated 1900-1910 shown on page 32 of the book Fratelli Toso by Leslie Pina.

Saying that, the match does break down a bit after that as there is another layer around that central part of the cane which does not match...

I don't and because of copyright I can't publish a  photo of the book here. Click on the email icon underneath my name and send me an email, I can then reply and attach a photo of the book.

However I can post this photo of a Fratelli Toso jug, same sort of date, the cane pretty much in the centre is of interest (red centre then moving out white/blue/yellow/white/blue/white). The colours used are different but the shapes are the same including the last layer with a spikey outline.
