Title: Help ID heavy amber bubble glass vase
Post by: mhgcgolfclub on March 05, 2018, 07:55:20 AM
Help please to ID this very heavy amber glass bubble vase with a clear glass base.

At first I thought Whitefriars but after a little research I now think not. Polished flat base with only slight wear.

Height 10.75"
Diameter 6.75"
Weight 6.5kg

Thanks Roy

agree they certainly did bullicante stuff, and in my Leslie Pina book there's a reproduction of a publicity broadsheet which shows this Ohio company's name and pix of some of their wares, together with a date line of 1943 - 1961.              Does anyone here know if that is implying Erickson ceased manufacture completely in 1961??             My totally ignorant opinion might be that this one looks a tad too monumental for their work - but who knows.

When I first saw this I thought of Magnor (Norway), Nuutagarvi Notsjo (Finland)  -  but Kosta, Kastrup, Aseda and Lindshammar also knocked out bubbly bodies ;D ;D

Thanks m and Paul .

On my search I did find a couple of Erickson vases which were similar.

Thanks Paul for you suggestions.
It came from a charity shop . I looked at it at least 3 times over 5 days before deciding to buy it. Very stable for a large bunch of flowers on mothers day ;D

Thanks Roy
