A little over 5 inches tall, some wear, no marks to the base or inside, English ?
-
sorry Keith - not a clue and since no one has yet responded my humble opinion is this one is quite possibly a States piece from the second half of the C20. Makers such as Fenton/Imperial/Westmorland and Wright are associated with marble glass, though have to say whether they marked any of theirs I've no idea.
But - good to see you're joining us pressed collectors group ;D

Sorry Paul, although I do have a bit of pressed glass this is not mine, ta for info' will google ;D ;D
-
Sorry Keith
I cannot be of any help either. I have never seen that shape before.
I have seen quite a few pieces of American marbled glass and quite often pieces are marked in the second half of the C20.
I would not completely rule out it being English.
I still have marbled glass vase which seems to have a cased interior looks like pressed glass but has a polished pontil which still has me stumped.

Thanks for looking, I did see some similar Fenton pieces, different mould patterns though, will keep looking ;D

It's a really peculiar colour for slag glass - it looks like malachite, but blue.
I can't bring myself to trust this shade of blue. It looks modern to me, I can't get my head around it being an old colour. I know that it is; I just don't believe that it is.

Have seem some Fenton glass in this colour but not this mould, they were dated for the 1970s.

There is a facebook eapg site if its modern American keith they would know. I can copy and paste the pics or you can join and ask.
