Help please to ID this iridescent tutti frutti style glass bowl.

A very pretty bowl with nice iridescence colours. Maybe made by one of the UK smaller glass companies.
Height 4"
Diameter 5"
Weight 355gm

Thanks Roy

::) I think you are right about it being a smaller and quite contemporary uk company. I've seen hanging balls like this, in Carnelian Crafts in Crieff, and I did look to see who it was, and I've forgotten. (hence the  ::) ::) ::) , they're not at you, they're for me forgetting again.)
The way the splodges are worked is the same - into teardrop shapes, going around the middle and flaring out in a sort of paisley kind of way.
I've looked the shop up on the web, but these are not featured.
They are fairly recent, There were hanging balls before, but not with this sort of more deliberate design.

Thanks Sue for your reply, I would tend to agree quite modern but still a very nice piece .

Thanks Roy

I was drooling over them a little bit.  :) I liked the paisley effect.
But they're too heavy for our christmas tree. ::)
I'll remember to find the name of the maker next time I go there and report back.
It may be a good few weeks, though.
Carnelian Crafts is run by Jane Drysdale, who was married to the late Stuart Drysdale of Perthshire Paperweights. She makes her own fused glass pieces there.
I won't forget, I'll write it down.

are the balls you were thinking of the Sienna Glass ones?

although I can't think I've seen much else other than bauble type things, no vessels that I can think of

No, not Sienna.  :)
These ones are a little bit better and slightly more individual. There are Sienna ones in the same shop, I know exactly where you're coming from, but the Sienna ones don't do as much "sort of paisley" effect, deliberately. In them, it happens more by chance. ;D

I was there yesterday and i remembered to find out. The name is Nobile and they're Czech.
They have a uk website.

I have an iridescent spatter bowl just like this. Since getting it I keep seeing the same pattern on other shapes, like the baubles, so thought it was something more modern and commercial.

I came across one today on eBay that said it was Milford Glass. Think they are from the distributor Milford Collection (there are items with the pattern on their website) https://www.milfordcollection.com/product-category/decorative-glassware/handkerchief-vase/ Some listings on eBay have Poland as country of origin that I assume they got off the box/label.

Maybe Nobilé also sold them but if I do a quick image search for Nobilé glass, none of this pattern came up. There were some similar pattern heart baubles, but not the same (I didn’t bother registering to see their catalogues though :) )

 :)
Websites seem to chage frequently - I just looked at the Nobile link i put in and the very first thing that comes up now is the information that they are a retailer of glass from around what was called eastern europe.
Nobile is not a glassmaker.
Well spotted!  8)
