Hi All
try again recently acquired this vase and looking at the shape thought this maybe French?
Quite tall trumpet shape very large top in relation to the foot. I believe this is opaline as it has slight reddish glow under normal light. The decorated areas have a satin finish. The blue is a washed pastel colour with decoration applied over. The rim and foot was guilded and the base has been nicely polished.
Any info on pattern and whether it is French?
Cheers Chris

Hi some additional info 're vase height 30cm top 18cm and foot 11.5cm and weight 1.3kg. Has very nice ring when flicked there are no flaws in the glass I.e no air bubbles, remnants of pot ash, scars etc. The rim is polished over not flat cut. The decoration has been applied to a very high standard and the black enamel raised.
The foot is two tier and does not look like it was applied after the vase was blown it is also hollow not solid glass.
The base pontil mark completely polished out then outside this is a satin finish then the outer part of the foot has been polished. Plenty of movement marks.
Hope additional info may help.
Cheers Chris
