Title: Is this a George Elliott ??
Post by: Smitty on April 15, 2018, 03:50:13 PM
Can anyone help me identify the maker of this piece? . On first sighting I thought it may be a George Elliot except this is not how my other George Elliott’s are signed so  Im not so sure.  There is what looks like a “GE” engraved on the base together with what looks like an anchor.  These are hard to catch in the images but are there. The mug stands about 12.5cms in height. Any ides would be much appreciated.

 :) It certainly looks like his work. I've just got hold of my GE goblet, it is clearly signed;
"George Elliott
BEWDLEY 1973 AUGUST,
ENGLAND"
with an anchor, (like a smiley) beside it. ;D

I collect George Elliot but do not have that one, I would say 100% his work, regards Chris.
