As always, I don't have a clue. I have read that both Caithness & Perthshire used a 10 cane? ???
Thanks in advance,

The weight was made by the Scottish Strathearn company, sometime from 1964 to 1980.
The "No 10" in one cane is most likely just a coincidence caused by slippage of the central element of the cane, which in one cane slice happened to show a "black part" and in the other canes that part is simply unseen (sunken into the bottom of the pale central area of each slice.
Slippage of elements of canes is not unusual and even some of Paul Ysart's work shows distortions or full slippage in the centres of various canes.
