Title: Heavy light ruby vase, whitefriars / austrian oberglas?
Post by: agth on July 18, 2018, 07:13:32 AM
Hello, everyone.
It's my first post :) Please help me in the identity of this vase. Unfortunately, I did not find anything similar. I will be grateful for help.

Welcome to the board :)

Lovely vase!  very funky design - I like it.

I don't recognise it but I am sure someone will. Be patient and check your updates or the thread again in time, because not everyone visits the board every day.

Of course, I checked many available catalogs from popular polish designer. Someone told me it's similar to "whitefriars" products but can't find anything alike.

Sorry  :)
As far as I know it is not Whitefriars.
I thought of Ingridglas also but I couldn't see anything like it however that was just a quick search.
I saw you mentioned Oberglas as well.
Hopefully someone will be along who will actually be able to help you  :)

I've been looking into Oberglas & Igrind for an unusual textured vase ( different to yours here) I have, but without any luck. I've now started to think 60s/70s Japan as they were known to produce bark/ textured pieces in quite unusual shapes..so perhaps that's a possibility for yours too. The problem is that area is so undocumented.
