Title: Paul Ysart ???
Post by: casalibre on July 19, 2018, 10:36:06 PM
On ebay is running:
https://www.ebay.de/itm/332718471304?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1555.l2649
or:
eBay-Artikelnummer:
332718471304
Is that really a Paul Ysart or is it an other Caithness?

Its a Caithness Latticino second, best you change YOUR listing to reflect this.

Hi Casalibre/Incazzatonero,

IMHO Nick is right: it is Caithness and likely a second quality weight.

He is also perfectly entitled to point out that you are one single person behind these two user IDs - Casalibre and Incazzatonero - as revealed on this board four years ago:

I am sure I am Helene and I do not know if the weight is Ysart or Caithness. The ebay listing is not my listing!

Hi Casalibre,

In that case, apologies for the misunderstanding.

And I do really think that the weight was indeed Caithness. But if I were wrong, KevinH will surely tell us.

It is a Caithness paperweight called "latticino" the circle of canes is quite obviously not lined up correctly and the correctly made weight had a cg cane in the base.
And... If you are not also incazzatanero how do you explain the thread linked to by Sophie where you asked a question as Casalibre then replied "thank you" as Incazzatanero? You stopped responding in that thread when this was pointed out.

Also why is it the only ebay items you ask questions about are listings by Incazzatanero, usually it seems when it has had no bids?

You are very welcome to post pictures and ask for identifications here, if you wish to advertise an ebay sales thread then use the sales section.

The image I get from the link is a Whitefriars piece.   Not sure what is going on here, other than deception.

The item has been removed, so ebay shows you something else you might like

Hi there,

The listing was finishing on 22 July and so the weight sold for 90 euros.

Alan - you should still see it: if you click on the original link and when you get there you click on Angebot (on the blue strip towards the top), this will/should take you to the original listing.

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/-/332718471304?nordt=true&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l10137

That should show you the original listing, as Sophie says, the blue strip has a link to click to see the original, ebay made this change about a month ago, showing a different listing when a listing has ended.

Okay - I can see it now.  Someone paid a lot for a Caithness piece!

Seems it didn’t sell for 90€ . It is relisted with overbearing references to PY. 332804646417
