Title: Stunning Holmgaard Scheffi c1928 ?? "Champagne Flutes"
Post by: LEGSY on July 20, 2018, 02:12:23 PM
 :)
I guess i hope i am right but i have seen the scheffi design on hardernet.dk right near the bottom of the tableware section although they dont show this size, These measure 7.8" tall but look the same the largest on the site are 6.8" from memory i think. Going onto the glasses they have a typical weighty feel to the glass and interetingly when viewed from above the air bubbles in the middle of the glass are arranged five small around a larger central bubble not sure how this is done? Would anyone have seen these before they are lovely.

The Holmegaard versions have gilding to the foot, which yours lack.

Holmegaard glass of this period and earlier was primarily composed of 'traditional' designs made by many factories across Europe, and so can be hard to attribute with any certainty.
