Title: Smoked Glass Hexagonal Bowl
Post by: Alsretro on July 25, 2018, 02:22:13 PM
I would appreciate any advice on this well crafted smoked glass bowl. I wondered if it was a Domnhall O'Broin design for Caithness. It measures just under 9 1/4ins wide and is 2 3/8ins high, weighing 2.1kg. The lines showing in the third picture are just a reflection. Many thanks
Alastair

I don't know what it is, but I'm sure it is not Caithness. I think it's a lot older and possibly Bohemian, it looks decidedly sculptural, a bit Moser-y.
A quality thing.  :)

Thanks for that Sue. Yes a lot going on with this bowl, my pictures not really doing it justice.
