Title: Help for identifying a glass vase needed
Post by: rdorrer on August 26, 2018, 09:18:49 AM
I found this vase of heavy white glad with red curls and orange dots on a charity Bazar here in Vienna, Austria. The base stands 18 cm high. Thank you for help

 :) Hello and welcome.
This looks like a very competent piece of studio glass, but we really need to see its base, to see how it has been "finished off". Can you take a picture of it and any marks you might find there?

I could not find a mark, and did my best to make a pic of the base. Looking forward

We can see that it is polished flat, and done well. This is a sign of quality, so even if there is "nothing there", it does help a lot.  ;D
I can also see the way the colours are worked a bit better. :)
Unfortunately, I don't know who made it. I did wonder if it might be Phil Atrill, a London glassmaker who uses a lot of very fine lines of colour, but I don't think it is, now I've seen it more closely.
