Title: Inherited glassware identification
Post by: JoJoh on September 04, 2018, 01:34:35 PM
Hi

I’ve recently inherited a set of glassware from my parents and have attached some photo’s.

I’d like to add to the collection and purchase replacements for some damaged items, however
am struggling to identify the maker and style name.

I was wondering if anyone is able to assist or if not is able to point me in the right direction.

Thanking you

Hello and welcome.  :)
Are you sure there is no name etched on the base somewhere?
It's a bit hard to work out the pattern from your pics, cut stuff is a nightmare to photograph, but I did think there might be some similarities to Stuart Hardewicke - but I don't think it is, having checked.

But this link below is where I checked. It might be the right place for you to go digging around to find out what it is you've inherited. They do sell replacements too, although once you have the identification sorted you might manage to find cheaper elsewhere. Good luck.

Hello and welcome to the board.

They look like Thomas Webb's Normandy pattern from what I can see of yours: compare with these https://www.replacements.com/webquote/wetnor.htm (https://www.replacements.com/webquote/wetnor.htm) (pattern shaping)
and photos of examples here:

I have some of the water goblets and they are not marked at all.

Could also be Tudor Crystal Catherine, difficult to tell from the pics.
