Title: Candle snuffer ?

No Idea about this item, is it a candle snuffer or other.
Nicely decorated with flowers and foliage , 14cm tall and 7.5cm dia.
No fixing for a bell inside.

It's too large for a candle snuffer, but I don't know whether glass snuffers would be practical anyway. Perhaps it's for keeping your boiled breakfast egg warm?  ;D

More likely a bell. Looks reasonably modern, but clappers are often fixed with glue, so could have gone
