Title: Tumbler or missing a lid?

Hi all,this piece reminds me of a continental type becher type glass ,but it's only 9cm in height,so it could be a pot missing a lid?It has a wide nicely polished Pontil with a strong pattern in blue with high relief,I wonder if it's deep engraving?Any thoughts most welcome,thanks.

I think it's just the style of the time i have a few now with that rim shape.

That's a nice piece Chris,it is a rim style of that period and I think your probably right it is a drinking glass from the late Victorian/Edwardian period?I wonder if this style of decoration would be described as gothic revival?

I've found a glass with similar decoration and height dated 1830?,but it could be red herring?

It looks right to me for the 1840's date, does it have any evidence of gilding I have one that just has the ghost impression on its worn that much.
