Title: Crown Paperweight ID?

Hi,

I picked up this small crown weight a few weeks back and still not found a possible maker. It's 5.5 cm diameter and looks similar to Perthshire weights but they have canes or lamp work subjects covering the spot where the canes/twists meets at base. Possibly a factory second as it doesn't seem complete?

It has a slightly rough 'tail' poking out pontil area (doesn't look fire polished)

Anyone any ideas?

Could this not be the knob of glass that the glass worker cuts off when he/she is pulling the top of the crown in?
