Yes to Murano for sure, decent maker by the look of it but not sure which one.

Very likely, Jonny - BUT it depends if the base is flat, or if under the felt the centre is slightly dented.  You could check by pushing there.  If it did have a dent this is most likely a Japanese item by one of the good makers.  Their quality is at least equal to Murano - personally I like them better.

Thanks guys for the replies and helpful info.  I've peeled the felt away and the base is flat and polished as you would expect with a Murano piece.

Anyone think there might be similarities in the maker of mine or are many very similar from different makers?  (I know nearly nothing about Murano glass  :-[ )
