Post by: Sita on August 13, 2006, 09:23:19 PM
Hello, could anyone tell me anything more about this object?

It's a quite heavy piece, approx. 13 kilo, diameter 43,5 cm / height 17 cm

Regards,
Sita

Welcome to GMB :)

The name Toso is invariably linked to items from Murano: Barovier and Toso for example. So it might be better to post the same question on the Murano forum as well.

Not a terribly convincing signature but I could be wrong. Very nice looking bowl though!

Thank you and sorry you are right. I will move my question to the Murano forum.

Hi,
it is a Murano piece. It was made in the Stefano Toso factory. It may be blown by Romano DonĂ  or by some other master glassmakers (he had 3 hoven up to two years agoo).
This is one of the few message where I can tell that I'm sure at 100%, becasue I was in that furnace so many times and I bought several pieces from them.

Sincerely

Alex
