Title: Lavorazione Arte vase - claims to be authentic from 1970's
Post by: Rhiebert on December 23, 2018, 05:45:03 AM
Hey all,

I want to get this vase for my wife as a Christmas gift but I'm sceptical about the authenticity of it. Can someone please offer an opinion? Here is the text from the ad:

Exquisite large lavorazione Arte Cobalt blue handkerchief vase

This Striking vase was made By lavorazione Arte in Murano Italy during the 1970's. It has a vivid cobalt blue shades in a swirled design, cased in clear glass. The top edge has a beautiful handkerchief design and the bottom has the criss cross imprint. It stands 16 1/2" tall, 11 1/2" across the top, and 4 1/2" across the base. In perfect condition no chips or cracks.

It was made in Italy but NOT in Murano and is most likely of a pretty recent vintage. lavorazione Arte Murano means in the style of Murano. It is not a company. I would save your money
