Title: Iridescent Green Mystery Vase, Bohemian?
Post by: snesbit on February 06, 2019, 12:24:22 AM
I picked up this piece at an estate sale this weekend.

Transparent green glass, nice overall iridescent finish.  Could be anybody, but I thought the form was distinct enough that it might jog someone's memory.

6 3/4" high, 3 3/4" at the shoulder, 3 5/8" at the fire polished top.  Base has a large circular polished pontil.

Thanks in advance for any impressions.

Nice,I'm no expert but I've seen a similar shape in the Loetz glatt range.,

[Mod: Image removed as it was a copyighted image in the Loetz.com galleries. Please see John's link to the "Vesuvian" item for the image that Bat20 showed.]

It is a Loetz shape as Bat20 points out, here it is in their Vesuvian pattern:

Thanks so much to the both of your for your replies and efforts in tracking down the form.

I'll do some more research from there and hope I can something definitive.

Again, thanks!
