Hello and welcome.  :)
It looks like the bottom part of a "tumble up" set.
(A water container with a matching cup which sits over the top, normally used on bedside cabinets.)
I have not a clue about origins or maker, possibly Bohemian?

Hi theomance,

Welcome to the Board.

I have removed your topic ("British Modernist Exhibition Piece") as it was for the same item as in this topic.

Thanks Sue for your suggestion - agree with you about the shape being like the drinks sets, but the vase is over 50cm which makes it very large for this use, and potentially very heavy when full (especially on a bedside table - could lead to a nasty accident!)
Will follow this up in research though
Regards
