Post by: bat20 on February 28, 2019, 02:08:14 PM
Hi,I think this is a lid for something with a frosted chimp on top,not a brass monkey!! :D

I think it could be a lid for a Baccarat jar

Hi,

This link helped me with several items as my father recently acquired a lion and lioness of the same range.

Thanks Mike!,I found it there and it is a lid ,looks like Roy was spot on.I think it translates as a Baccarat piece 1880,it will live on my desk as a paperweight. :)

Hi

If you  go to Pamela Wessendorf  site and look under France there is a picture of my jar which has been sold back to the Baccarat museum.

It was marked Baccarat inside the base.
