Title: Globe vase? - ID = Anthony Stern (probably)

Hi, is this an Isle of Wight globe vase?

It has a snapped pontil scar with no signatures or labels. There are quite a few small bubbles that don’t show in the photos. I’ve not managed to find this pattern and haven’t got the book. It is about 120mm tall and diameter and weighs 800 grams. Any information appreciated thanks.

Assuming it is his, I wonder why he didn’t sign it? I’ll have look about now I know what to search for...I find it rather like trying to find a word in the dictionary when you didn’t realise it starts with a silent letter, hopeless! (If that makes sense) :)

I have no idea.
I have a very small goblet, also unsinged. And a plate I bought nearly 20 years ago, signed and I mistook it for Mdina - which is what it was listed as.
Several folk have muddled even properly signed bits with being Mdina.

I learned this design by experience (following much confusion) both inside and out. (the goblet has the pattern on the inside, not the outside.  ;D)
I did know the letter I needed to start off with. ;)
