I lived in Perth in the 1990s and used to visit the Caithness factory shop on Sundays and often came home with a purchase.
I'm now trying to catalogue these and need some help with this one.
I can't find it on the Scotland's glass site but I have found something on online sales sites. I can't manage to reduce the image to post on here (unfortunately mobile phones like to increase the resolution of their photos, not reduce them)
Does anyone have a photo they can post or refer me to a site which will confirm the online sales data please

Hello you again. It's definitely the one that comes up when I google the images for this paperweight. So that's another identification
Any idea why this wouldn't be in the Scotland's glass site which is otherwise quite comprehensive ( apart from the ones I have!)
I also have one that I cannot find anywhere online. Its pink and has a thistle etched on the outside. Apart from sending a picture to Caithness, I can't think of any other way to find out more about it. Any thoughts, please?

Scotlands glass site covers a lot of glass, can't help you there, you could post a picture of the paperweight here, maybe someone will recognise it ;D

I never visited the Perth shop but did visit the Kings Lynn shop & they only sold seconds so as not to compete with their dealers.
Are your weights marked CIIG on the base by any chance as by the 1990's all their first quality weights would have been acid etched with the name to the base. Seconds were often given to the trainees to practice etching and engraving before being sold in the shop which could account for your Thistle weight.
If they are seconds although they were intended to be a certain design they cannot be classed as that as they are incorrect for that design.
