Hi all,
I picked this vase up today as it was cheap and looked like it could be Webb but I got it mixed up with their venetian ripple moulding and now not so sure. It glows so has a high uranium content and with the excessive wear on base I'd say it has to be from mid last century or possibly older.
Anyone any ideas? I did briefly look through the Whitefriars catalogues but never seen anything in similar shape and moulding.
It stands at 8.5 inches high and 8.5 inches diameter at widest point.
Kind Regards, Adam

My belief is that this blue uranium is not Webb but likely English

Ok thanks for the reply, I'll keep searching for the meantime

I didn't think Webb did a blue/turquoise Uranium type either, (I'm pleased you think so too, I wouldn't have said so, otherwise.).
I also think the rim is too flared for Webb and I don't recognize the texture, but that is hard to make out. :)

It's more green than blue I'd say and the moulding looks like diamonds or possibly honeycomb shape. It's shaped like an optical s&w vase I have but not seen any with similar moulding.

Different people see the same colours differently. ;D
It can get very complicated with various shades of turquoise/teal/green/blue.

Yeah I suppose ;D
