Title: Lovely quality engraved & enameled Vase??
Post by: LEGSY on May 19, 2019, 05:46:01 AM
Trying to get some more information about this little beauty i am thinking it maybe German in origin from around the turn of the 20th century but not sure, Worth mentioning is the bottom picture i have not seen this sort of metal plug in the base of a vase before which protrudes into the foot  ???The black enamel and gilding is both internal and external gives a sort of depth. I have looked around and it reminds me of Steinschonau glass or similar so far hopefully somebody will know what to make of it. Quite a good size and weight height 7.5" rim width 8.5". :)

maybe it was made or inserted to hold some form of metal flower frog?

No idea about the metal plug, but I have seen that design on the foot of an Anton Kusak piece of Moser in the same colour glass.

Thank you i certainly can see a resemblance or similarity with the maker you mention
I did not realize Moser made pieces that were not marked i guess it's not an avenue of
collecting i have much knowledge in but i certainly feel they are a candidate thankyou
