Hi,I found this 12 cm high recently and I would say one of the continental glass houses,no polished Pontil so perhaps not Loetz, the glass is clear with a yellow hint and there are inclusions with a lot of wear to the base.Any thoughts ? Many thanks.

Interesting piece, with a cut rim and no pontil mark I wouldn't completely rule out Loetz Craquelé. - Although a few others did also use this decor....

It does look as if it belongs with the Kolman Moser made for Loetz jugs with the integral handles, but I think somebody else made those too, of inferior quality, and I can't remember who. :-[
(nothing new there. ::) )
I've got my jug out to compare with your pics.
It is slightly yellow, clear glass. :)
It has a large polished, and not very round pontil mark. :)
The crackle looks the same. :)
The quality of the join inside my handle is not good. :'(
Which is why I have always thought it must be by the "other" maker to Kolman Moser for Loetz.
Something from that stable should be better finished. I thought. But I might well be wrong. ;D
Maybe somebody else can get us out of this pickle. ;D
eta.
I can't really make out your rim - it looks polished, Greg says cut.
The rim of my jug is rounded and pitted, heat finihsed (and not too well done) but the spout had to be incorporated and it was on a pontil iron at the other end for that.
Your vase looks mould blown, so the different pieces would have been made from opposite ends to each other, if you see what I mean - hence yours having no polished scar.

There's a thread on the board "enigma jug" ....... Sorry I don't know how to include a link to it but it comes up using the search button ...... And it has quite a lot of really interesting information about a jug in this type of glass, including different glass companies that made it.

catshome (My little Muzzy is mine, you can't have her! ;) ) to find it and post a link to another thread:-
Click on "Glass Message Board" at the top left, under the orange Home box.
That ensures you are searching the whole board.
Then type your search into the Search box at the top right and click search.
A menu of various messages appears, if they contain your words.
Click on the one you want to open it check it is what you want, then go up to the https box right at the very top of the page, click on that, and copy it, then start flicking back pages until you get back to where you want to post it.
That's how I do it, anyway. :)
Well done for coming up with the right words for the purpose. :-*
