Bought this recently the quality isn't up to much but it's funky and looks great with the light behind it. Any ideas where it's from, I suspect Eastern Europe or Asia, but anyone know.

very Picasso in design isn't it? :D

I quite like these head things except that they scare me. I could not live with one.

I find that I'm getting more into the waccy and abstract pieces as I get older. This particular one was less than £20 including postage which I thought a real must have price.

I keep fancying a Kosta Brain but they give me the creeps.

Trouble with those is there are so many different ones how on earth do you pick one.

I'm beginning to think that Paul and I have similar tastes...we'd have to sharpen our elbows at a bootfair! I really like this colourful head, I wonder if the base might be the deciding factor in attribution?
My friend does glass fusing - is it ok if I forward her a copy of the photo and ask if she has any idea on a maker? Or country of origin?

Oh dear Max similar taste to me, then you must need some therapy!!!
Sure send on to your friend, the base looks similar to those I've seen on modern Czech pieces but not at all certain.

this one was on my list, i thought Italian, but i was watching a programme on slump glass and it's making on Sky a couple of weeks ago and a studio in England was making faces same as the one you have Paul, dont ask me who cause they did't say and was only on for about 50 seconds

Thanks Ray I reckon this will be one of those things that will turn up when least expected, be nice to eventually pin it down though.
