I bought this vase in the Czech Republic and the seller advised it was vintage Czech glass. I have looked through all my resources and found nothing - I am beginning to think it has other origins.
The vase is 19 cm tall, 7 cm diameter top and 8 cm diameter bottom . The vase is graded ruby red with black/red at the top. The spiral is clear glass.
I would be grateful for help to identify manufacturer, designer and date.
Thank you

I am with you, it does not look typically Czech. Do you have a photo of the base?
One company to look into is Skruf, two vases with spirals here, one with a Skruf label:

Or Poland...
Colour and clear applications remind of pieces from Tarnowiec glass (by Jerzy Słuczan?) >> for instance this one (https://imged.pl/wazon-flakon-jerzy-sluczan-orkusz-32274230-slide2.html) or >>this one (https://www.design-mkt.com/35368-jerzy-s%C5%82uczan-s-eastern-european-vase-orkusz.html)

Hello John and Michael
Thank you for taking the time and looking at my vase. I have taken a good look at the thoughts you both had and I think it must be Polish, Tarnowiec glass, probably by Jerzy Sluczan-Orkusz, 1980's. See the attached photographs which have all the features - red graded glass, rounded bell profile base and clear glass spiral.
What do you think?

Yes think that is a much better bet than Skruf, that colour is quite distinctive - it should have been a clue...
Another Tarnowiec vase with a label.
