Title: Glass Antelope figurine - head down

I've been to Frank's zoo, and searched the board, but I have not managed to find an exact match for this 15cm long x 8cm high "Antelope".   

He stands well, very stable, and its nice to see a different pose.  Ears, horns and tail appear quite well done.  If he didn't look as though he'd been punched on the nose, I would say he's pretty good.

Something loosely similar, attributed to Murano, sold here

However, the horns on that one are clearly amethyst coloured.  On my piece horns and tail are a very solid "black" even against a strong light.

Any thoughts appreciated.

He's lampwork and lampwork was and is made the world over because it requires very little equipment. It's often very difficult to attribute a maker or even a country and I think yours is one of those unknowns. You can almost certainly rule out Murano though

I agree with everything you say..... Just posted him in case anyone had come across a labelled example.  I do feel sorry for the buyer who paid £25......but I guess it's caveat emptor.
