Can anyone give me any information on this great vase.
Many thanks

Hello and welcome.
Would you be able to take another picture of the signature after rubbing over it with something to bring it up a little more.......things that can work are talcum powder, ground cinnamon, cocoa powder.
A picture of the whole of the base as well could be helpful.

Welcome.
Not sure about the signature, although stylistically it reminds me of the work of Amanda Brisbane, might be worth exploring.

;D :-[
I'm sitting here reading your reply, Greg and thinking; "I don't remember writing that ??? ??? ???."
Then I checked when this was posted... then I noticed it was your reply, not an old one of mine. :-[
I do agree. I can see a B at the beginning and it really does look like her work.

Thank you here are hopefully clearer pictures.

Great minds Sue :)
It's definitely by Amanda Brisbane, her style is really quite distinctive.

;D I'll stick with this end of the quote. ;)
Yup, the signature does look right too.
-
Thank you really interesting I will familiarise myself with her work

I just did a search myself and discovered to my great shock, that she died, far too early, in 2016.

Sorry to hear that.
Thanks for adding the link Sue.

A search in images with her name found another very similar blue solifleur vase, further confirming this one.
