Hi all, this small jar has a lot of wear too the base and a wide shallow polished pontil(which are both difficult to photo).Anyone recognise the style, sort of Victorian 60’s cross ??
-
Back from work!, so a little more information. It's 8.5 cm in height and I think has a uranium glow rather than mangenese?.... It reminds me a bit of a mini spittoon or a leech/seed jar??

I don't know, but I absolutely love that piece! It's fabulous.

I like it too m ,It's got something about it whatever it was made for.

I've seen this somewhere before. Have you got the Cyril Manley book?
I'll have a look later and see if it's in there.
meanwhile - can we have some more pics please? against a white background ? Just wanting to see the detail :)

Knew I'd seen it before.
Richardson. I think ... if the museum collection is correct. This one was a Benjamin Richardson III bequest:

There is another piece out there somewhere. Just trying to find it but I think it was the same design as the one in the museum.

That's fantastic m!,thank's very much for taking the time I'm really chuffed!..I don't know why my photo's do that?!on my computer they're the right way up.The last time a kindly mod managed to turn them the right way up.
-
I can't find the other one rather annoyingly, but I'm sure they are the same maker, I'm sure it had the chain effect on it so was similar design to the one in the Museum collection rather than yours.
So there are at least three including yours.
It's utterly gorgeous and I love the effect of the decoration and colours. Must be very difficult to do and on an opalescent glass background as well.
