Welcome to the message board Alex156.
Sorry, not seen your vase before and it is distinctive. Guessing no marks on the base and a cut and polished rim?

Does the moulded image extend to the side panels? And can you work out what the figure is holding in the right hand?

Google knows everything)) https://www.chairish.com/product/1027316/mid-century-smalandshyttan-blue-glass-vase-josef-schott

Was it produced as an 'award' for a swimming championship, or I'm assuming diving from the label on the base?

Maybe it’s a 'award', but I don’t know for sure
-
ooh the owner of this one says they had a red one which they won as a sporting award many years ago :)

Be interesting to know what yours was for.
It doesn't appear to be the Swedish Swimming Federation as that is the SSF. (established 1904)

I've asked in the swimming communities I'm involved with, and on Twitter, to see if anyone recognises the logo. It's a distinctive one for sure.

flying free, Anne thanks!!!

There's a notice on an Australian school website "GDSS swimming cancelled"......maybe one of the Australian members will be able to shed more light on it.
-
Well found Cat, that didn't show up in my earlier search. I've emailed the school to ask if they recognise the logo. Fingers crossed!

Found a similar vase, in what looks like the same series, with a Schott label. So at least we have evidence for the attribution.

I've seen a few of the same shaped vases with the bobbly sides and a different figure on the front, but none of them were labelled as Schott, so this is a good find Cat. :)
