Title: Small vase with butterfly's not signed

Hello ,

Has anyone seen or know something about this small vase (8 cm).

Hi Cliff, that's an intriguing piece.  Really only 8cm high?  Does it do anything under UV light? Can we see the base please.  Any chance it could be a perfume bottle.......signs in the neck it may have had a stopper?

Really look forward to learning more about this one!

Vase is Czech: I've seen it in various post war catalogues (e.g. the 1978 Weil/ Bohemia crystal catalogue on glas-musterbuch.de -- p.2, no. 687), but presumably it was originally a pre-war design. Don't recall the original firm but would suggest checking out Schlevogt and Hoffmann for starters.

What an interesting site Steven, wish my German was better.  Frosted clear glass version on eBay and lots of google images for "desna butterfly vase".
