Title: Webb bullseye question.
Post by: keith on September 17, 2019, 02:07:18 PM
Picked these up today, one is 3 inches tall the other 2.75, both are smaller than the other clear pieces I have, does anyone have any idea how many sizes there are ?

interesting, never seen this shape in b.e. before Keith  -  assume they have a backstamp?     What are they for by the way  -  cocktails perhaps.

No marks on either, same with this one, not all my bullseye have backstamps, idle glass makers !   ::) ;D ;D no idea what they're for, about right for a nice single malt  ;D ;D

I have some similar shaped things - to the piece in your first picture - that jp once told me were Muranese - they're coloured with gold flecks - and I thought possibly for cocktails, but really not sure.
Of course, perhaps they're just decorative pieces.              This straight sided funnel shape makes me think of 'deco' Martini type glasses.

Didn't they knock out shed loads of b.e. - I have a decanter, finger bowl in u. for small people/small fingers and small desert bow in u.
Presumably b.e. wasn't made by any other factory - or was it do you know?

Decanters are the only ones I don't have, yet ! not aware of any other companies making b.e, picked up this uranium candle holder a while ago  ;D ;D

unusual to have a bulbous holder to shove the candle into, perhaps - any chance it might have been for matches - too small for fags I guess - but it's attractive - is it marked?
I've seen the gold/amber decanters, though never owned one  -  mind is only clear.

Hadn't thought of that, it is a bit small for a candle and yes this one is marked, think I have about 30 pieces now  ::) ;D ;D
