Title: Karel Palda style lidded trinket bowl
Post by: Anne E.B. on September 25, 2019, 10:56:40 AM
I've had this cut flashed crystal lidded bowl for a while and wondered what it might be.   Its very angular and Art Deco and a little bit in the style of Karel Palda, but haven't a clue, and only came across his name for the first time yesterday when looking at recent postings where he was mentioned.   I'm guessing its Czech and around the Art Deco period, but other than that... ???  What ever it is, its very pretty and the bowl itself looks good on its own.

Look at this, another part of the family!! I bought it in 2006 in the UK but I too think it's Czech.

Well spotted!  It looks lovely.  Shame they haven't mentioned the actual maker.
Many thanks :-*
