Title: Romanian glass
Post by: Lustrousstone on September 27, 2019, 07:57:03 PM
Someone posted this article about Romanian glass somewhere but I can't remember where. Thought it might be useful/interesting  https://www.allorigine.it/peste_de_sticla/?fbclid=IwAR2NBY8ePfQZ505klsd4h5X_Ao1h3nYtgE-CjJzcLcIkzM-NKMa2MpTA70Y

That is really interesting......great glass fish pictures.  I've had a number of those over the years, and had no idea they could have come from Romania.  The pictures of them on top of the televisions took me right back to my childhood visits to the great aunts!

Fascinating. We still know so little about some of these places, I had no idea they were producing glass for export on such a large scale.
Sad to see those factories so derelict now. Also gives an explanation for those baskets you see everywhere which sellers often sell as "end of day" Murano.
