 ;D
Even sideways on, I can tell it is exactly what you think it is - a Mdina Zig-Zag.  ;D ;D ;D
I'm very jealous. I don't have one.
Welcome to the board and thanks for posting your pics directly - it's very much appreciated.  :)

Am I allowed to ask how much it’s worth ?

All Zig-Zags are really early. Harris period. They are very scarce. (i never use the r word, it means too many different things to too many different people and is often applied rather hopefully.)

We don't tend to discuss values here. In the secondary market something is worth what it makes, in that place at that time.
We don't need folk getting angry at us for making a vague guess, then a price not being realised!

The best way to find a ball-park figure would be to check sold auction lists. i think the last one I saw went for around Ł375.

You can add up to 4 images in each post, just click on the bit under the attachments box, which reads "more attachments".
You can also edit your post for an hour after you first put it here.

What a stunning find you have there. Treasure!!
I think we are all jealous!  Even the one or two that already have one! Sadly, that does not include me! :(  :'(

I‘m really a bit astonished. In Germany Mdina is quiet often to be found on fleemarkets. Mostly unknown by the owners. They are usually only 1-5 €, well not a early Harris. I think I have to buy them and give them to you, Mdina seems to be one of the UK favorites . I own an owl and a parfuem flakon.

Early on in the factory's life, new work was exported to Germany for sale.
There is quite a lot of decent stuff hiding away there. ;D

And they seem to fit perfectly to UK taste. For me they are not clear enough, I prefer single color or designs where the colors are not so washed together. In future I take them home and offer them to you, sell them one by one, I don‘t want to make money with them.

Funny you should say that. Your tastes seem to be exactly the same as those of a lovely German student who adopted us to be her Scottish family.  ;D

When I was 16, I was friend with a scottish Family. ;D
They had theire home near Edinborough, I think it was Kincardine near the river five. I stayed there for a couple of weeks.
Now I´m 60  :'(

Age is just a number, Monika. I'm 62. Katrin, who adopted us, is only 30. She has a Finnish adopted family too. You never know when somebody new and lovely is about to come into your life.
We keep her slippers waiting at the front door for her. :)

A very nice zig zag vase indeed and almost cobalt blue in the colourway.

It is cobalt.  ;D
The body contains amber swirls which make it appear more purple. The zigzags are cobalt in clear and they're beautifully chunky and rounded, not flattened.
(Cobalt on its own is incredibly dense, no light gets through it, whatsoever.)
This zig-zag is 12cm in height and 12cm in diameter.
It's kind of cauldron shaped, with a lovely rounded belly.
There are even sharp little bits of frit inside - they're there to add the special Harris magic to the spells I'm going to be mixing in it.
I still can't get photos from the camera into this nasty new pc. :'(

18 years I've been waiting, if not longer.  ;D
I found a black and white drawing of one illustrated in an early Miller's guide. When nearly everything printed in them was just black and white illustrations.
And an illustration of a triangular one on a cardboard label I'd found.
