Title: Please help identify paperweight
Post by: casalibre on November 29, 2019, 10:01:14 AM
This weight is 840 grams and has a diameter of 9 cm. Clear glass with many candies and stringed glass. The floor is flat ground with very many sliding tracks. I do not know, could it be Murano?

I think Murano is a good possibility.

What date range would apply to these "basic loose scrambled type" weights?

I would think 1960s - 1990s...but might be wrong.

If you have problems with the attribution, it is always very easy to say: MURANO, because a lot has been tried.
I guess I've had 800 Murano paperweights in my hands (excluding China for Murano). Also I have been five times in Murano during 1970-2003. I also collected and sold many other glass items from Murano. I don't believe in Murano provinience. Me Interested
much more, what could it be besides Murano???

I would be surprised if this didn't originate in Murano. But I suppose a very distant second choice would be 20th century American studio glass.
