Christine's got a sommerso beast with the same indents in the bottom, in orange, clear and uranuim glass, although it is round.
I don't know if the tentative attribution has been confirmed or denied.

That's a definite attribution but it's quite different in many ways to the OP's

There's an image in Pinterest that is closer to OPs piece, and has a label, but I can't get to the original listing

You have a query mark after the attribution on your website that you might like to edit out if it is confirmed, Christine. ;)
And once I'd found it, I could see there were a few fairly major differences between it and the piece here. ::)

Oh thank you very much i have just had a good
look and it's Smoked glass not sommerso so i'm
kind of leaning toward's Scandinavian at present
i don't think the Italian's made much in smoke.
Sadly i am not very up on Murano glass :(

Because of its symmetry I would not rule out a Japanese maker as a possibility.
