Title: Heavy unusual bi color Sommerso bowl red & yellow?
Post by: LEGSY on December 09, 2019, 08:06:23 PM
This bowl has been in my local shop for ages and decided to bite and buy it as
it struck me as slightly different as the red color is sort of suspended on the yellowy amber
color is it Murano and  does seem to have a good age to it has anybody seen this type of
coloring before it is 6"x2.5" 1.5 kg

It's hard to work out what sort of shape the red bit is - or even where it is, because of optical effects getting in the way.
I'm not too sure about the exact shade of yellow either, it looks a bit ambery.
If the red bit is a sort of round blob at the bottom, and the yellow is not amber, it might be da Ros.  ;D

;) Thank you very much and sorry for late reply
been trying to get a better rep of it but not an easy
lump to take photographs of it seem's to distort my
wee cameras pictures every time :(
The yellow is more amber and it is a sort of glob of red
rather than 50/50 :)

A "gob of red" is exactly what I would expect from da Ros. I don't know terribly much about him or his work. I just found a very peculiar yellow bear with a red gob in his base and red eyes once, bought more for the truly kitsch horror it seemed to be to me  ;D than for thinking it was valuable. But it turned out to be da Ros, and actually a desirable thing.
