I kinda like this amber vase with its ridges etc it is kinda fine
glass somewhere in between has a nicely finished base heat treated??
Not too sure but maybe decent quality is it missing a stopper no ridges
inside to indicate it did have one some light wear in areas on the bottom
i don't think it was made recently maybe 50s-70s or in between 8" tall x 7" wide :)

I saw a red one in a CS recently.....managed to stop myself buying it (yay!). I thought likely Empoli. Also no stopper and no wear inside the neck, but some of my Empoli bottles have a plastic bung on the glass stopper so I couldn't be 100% sure whether it would have had one originally.
-
If it is what I think it is, it's Empoli and should have a tall pointy stopper, also ridged, with the plastic bit. Normally seen in teal or amber. Red would be very unusual, and quite desirable in the secondary market if it has its stopper, Cat. :)
The pics are taken from an angle I'm not used to seeing, (from slightly above, so I can't see how round the bottom part is, in profile) and I've just given the last of mine (teal and amber, missing stoppers) to a CS, so I can't check their bottoms.

Sue, I was actually relieved it didn't have a stopper as I wouldn't have been able to resist buying it......which i am trying so hard not to do.......with varying degrees of success 😹

:)
Thank you very much Sue & Cat most interesting about colors
of the Empoli bottles i am happy i kinda thought Empoli was
nice stuff but didn't realize they blew so nicely on the Genie Bottles
just need to marry it up now erm ;) Put another picture below showing
more side angle on it :)

Cat & Sue i recently joined a Genie Bottle facebook site and
couldn't believe how popular they are becoming i showed one
i have had for years and it went viral it was a cased one again
Empoli i think, Funny how these are so popular right now :)

I used to buy them in charity shops and had a large collection stored on top of my kitchen cupboards. They made a really wonderful and colourful "skyline". They were there for about 15 years, the time had come to sell them on and start upgrading... ;D
-
I love that and it really does remind me of New York sky line :)
I think they are really good for the mid century look imagine a small
group in a fancy London Penthouse being fantastic not that i will ever
be in A London penthouse hahaha Mine is similar to one or two you have Sue :)
-
Sue the picture you have put up about half way there is a similar
one to the one i have listed above however the rim seems to be
different as there are two neck rings on yours kinda looks slightly
heavier from here anyway??? Maybe a different pattern i would think but
certainly similar stables?
-
Not two neck rings, but the top rim of the bottle and the bottom rim of the stopper.
If I didn't have the plastic bung, I'd put a flat ring of blu-tack inbetween the stopper and bottle to keep it stable and upright. It does make the part where the rims meet look a bit thicker.
It is a very, very old picture.

;) Thank you i see now :0

You're most welcome. I'm still very fond of these - but I'm working on getting a collection of the big Skruf style bottles with the round bottoms and tall necks up there now.
I've even got a new kitchen since that pic was taken. ;D
