Title: Raised ribs ashtray
Post by: kwqd on January 08, 2020, 06:40:18 AM
This ash tray is 6"(15 cm) long x 3.5" (9 cm) high x 4" (10 cm) wide. It has raised ribs in blue glass and the bottom is ground flat and appears to have been sandblasted to keep it from moving around. It weighs 1 lb 7 ounces (652 grams). It is fairly unusual so I thought it would be easy to track down but I can't find anything else like it. Since it is a fancy glass ashtray found in a thrift shop, I am guessing it is pre-2000. Does anyone know who made it?

Modern Chinese I suspect from the matte ground base and the uneven lines.

Could be! If it is, though I don't usually keep Chinese glass, I will add this one to my collection. It is a pretty cool piece.
